Inclusive Access - Student Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

WELCOME TO INCLUSIVE ACCESS!

You have enrolled in a course that has chosen an Inclusive Access title. This means that your required course materials will be available the first day of class through a link provided by KU Campus Store in your KU email. For your convenience, you will be billed for your materials on your MyKU account. It’s that easy.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF INCLUSIVE ACCESS?

Inclusive Access is a collaboration between your professor, KU Campus Store, the Office of Student Accounts, and publishers to provide required course materials at a significantly reduced cost.  When a professor makes the decision to participate in this program, all students registered for the class automatically receive access to these materials.

HOW DO I ACCESS MY MATERIALS?

All Inclusive Access materials are accessed through a link provided in your welcome email from KU Campus Store. This email will also contain a unique access code to each student. Publishers may also provide faculty with a code unique to their course.

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ACCESS?

You may have already paid when you paid for other tuition and fees. Remember to check your MyKU account to be sure your materials have been paid for. If you added the course late you may still need to pay.

WHAT IF I DROP THE COURSE?

If you paid for materials and you dropped the class you will receive a refund on your MyKU account.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN INCLUSIVE ACCESS?

KU Campus Store has worked with the publisher to negotiate the lowest cost for your course materials. These materials are required by your instructor and are an integral part of the course.  The added interactive courseware content is designed to make the reading more engaging, which increases comprehension and retention of the material and can ultimately lead to greater academic success.

You may choose to opt out of this program. Please be advised that by choosing to opt out, your online content will be turned off and you will lose access to graded assignments only available through this program, as well as the lowest cost digital content available.  Upon opting out, you will receive an email confirmation and you will not be billed.

Should you choose to opt out by the end of add/drop, visit the Inclusive Access “opt-out” link in your email from KU Campus Store.
